Week #15
Life is like an empty book... waiting for you to take initiative and fill its pages with stories, successes, and accomplishments. Sure there are bound to be downfalls, tragedies, and heartbreaks but that's life. It makes you stronger. Accept the hard times as learning experiences. A teacher was lecturing and asked her students to stop and think about their lives. She asked- If you were to die tomorrow, how would people remember you?
You impact the world in some way whether you want to or not. Leave a legacy for the future generations. One of my teachers was describing an artist and she mentioned that he was constantly writing, keeping a journal of what was happening. That was one thing that I always found interesting was diaries or journals from my family. They were full of stories and memories that would have been lost and forgotten had they not been written down. It's part of our job as photographers, to document history.

Ashley, your blog this week is especially beautiful. The image completes your journal entry and creates a wonderful idea of the true meaning of a journal or diary.
ReplyDeleteThe symbolism is great and the lighting is bright, but not blinding, a pretty good image as a whole.
ReplyDeleteGood abstract concept and another creative way of doing a self-portrait. The necklace laying on the book adds drama and feeling to the image. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThis is very pretty and creative. Very true too. I like how you didn't just have a blank book, you put the one single necklace laying on the book.
