Portrait #8


When I think of spring this is what I think of...
flowers. This is my absolute favorite subject to photograph. 
Next to photography my second favorite thing to do is
work in the garden and plant flowers. I get to spend a lot
of time with my Dad and learn from him. I just love how 
you can see how all of your hard work pays off.  Since 
the warm weather came so early this year all of the 
plants we had from last year are starting to get green
leaves already.
Everyone says I got my love for flowers from
my grandfather. He loves planting flowers and his
brother even has a greenhouse. So my Dad learned
a lot from them while he was growing up. It's one of
those family traditions I take pride in.

  1. Blooming flowers are excellent symbolism for the turning a new leaf. The photos are quite colorful without being overwhelming, which I believe is a good balance.
