Portrait #5
Sometimes I get so busy and wrapped up in everything that's going on around me. I stress out over the smallest things... but then I stop and think about how much time I'm wasting and how fortunate I am. So many people out there don't have half of what I have. What gives me the right to complain about how much homework I have while there are people out there who want to go to college but can't afford it? Who am I to complain about taking a cold shower while people in Haiti have to walk 5 miles just to get drinking water? Sometimes we need to step back and see how good we have it. That's why I tried to stick with simplicity for this portrait.

Wow, I really love what you wrote with this. It's true because some people always want more of something when what they have is so good. The picture is great, I love the sepia.=)
ReplyDeleteThe words and the picture go together beautifully. The clean, white sheet is a great way to show simplicity and the black and white too. No color, designs, or patterns to distract.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really nice photo. Sometimes simple photos really are the best, and the simple things in life..goes along nicely with what you said. Sepia was definitely a good choice!
